Daphne Buren-Baks, lawyer | counsel


Daphne has been a lawyer with De Bok since 2007. The emphasis of her practice is on property law, leasehold law and contract law.

Daphne advises and litigates on behalf of clients on matters such as leaseholds, limitation periods, easements, ownership and sale/purchase of real estate. She is also frequently asked to advise on matters pertaining to the rights and obligations of apartment owners and to represent clients in court on such matters. 

Clients also regularly ask for Daphne’s advice on negotiating and entering into contracts (such as building contracts and supply contracts) and she represents clients in court in contract-law disputes resulting, for example, from non-performance or discussions about the interpretation of a specific contract.

Daphne successfully completed a postgraduate specialist course in property law at the Grotius Academy. Daphne is a member of the Real-Estate Lawyers Association and the Real-Estate Association of Rotterdam-Rijnmond.
