Anton Beneder, senior lawyer
Anton joined De Bok as a lawyer in 2015 and is principally engaged in corporate law generally, and more particularly in insolvency practice and sports law.
During his study of private law, criminal law, and criminology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Anton gained relevant practical experience across these fields. For example, he worked as a student court clerk with the Court of Rotterdam and undertook several work experience programmes in the fields of law and commerce.
In November 2015 Anton was declared the winner of the dissertation prize 2015 awarded by the Sports Law Association for his research into the prohibition of third-party ownership by world football governing body FIFA. This was research he carried out during his work experience with the general counsel (corporate lawyer) of Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Within De Bok Anton has developed as an all-rounder in corporate law. He is perfectly at home combining transactions (company acquisitions), advice (commercial contracts), proceedings (courts and arbitration) and insolvency settlements.
Anton is a sports enthusiast. In 2020, partly due to his passion for sport, he completed a specialist course in Sports Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Since then, he has also practised in the field of sports law.
